Welcome to One Car Garage, in which I choose a manufacturer, and you decide one single vehicle that they make or made (no matter how old, no matter how exclusive) to live with for the rest of your life. This is your only vehicle, and all expenses are paid for, including price of entry, insurance, gas, etc.
Last time we played One Car Garage, I was a little bit out of my element, dealing with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Today, I’ll be a little more comfortable, as we’re going to be taking a trip back to Europe to pick from the Teutonic selection that Bayerische Motoren Werke has provided us with. Let’s choose our Bimmer.

This one’s pretty damn easy for me, as last year, BMW presented us with possibly the most Jalop car on the planet. I don’t know if I could ask for anything more than a high-performance, all wheel drive, diesel wagon, and for that reason I must choose the M550d Touring. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a manual transmission, but when it comes to OCG, not even that's a huge deal.

close to yours. My choice right here, e34 M5 touring, in technoviolet

The rare and under-appreciated M635CSi / M6. Motor from the M1, in a sexy E30-generation body. 282HP, 3400lbs. In other words, Supra Twin Turbo performance in 1983, without the turbos. Except I would want to find a turbo system (similar to the M1 race cars) since the motor was built to handle turbocharging up to around 850HP. That engine is absolutely beautiful.
It's the only 2-door 6-cylinder BMW with serious (500HP+) power potential that doesn't weigh 6000lbs outside of the M1. And the E36/E46 are actually some of my least favorite M cars. Sorry.

E46 M3 CSL

As tempting as many other options would be, I have to go with the 3.0 CSL. Based on nothing more than how sexy it is. I would always be happy with looking at this car.

Technoviolet is a great name for a color.

I hate on some purple cars...but yeah the name and how it looks on that whip is so right

Alpina B6 3.5. It makes me tingly.

507. White. With a hardtop.

So many good memories with this car in Need for Speed Most Wanted. My favorite BMW, hands down.

If you give me time to think, I will change my mind several times. So I will just say 2002 tii Touring before I change my mind back to 507 or E28 M5. Oops, it might be too late.....

Fuck you Razor
![]() 09/09/2013 at 14:27 |

Yeah. If we were limiting ourselves to cars that are actually attainable, that would be my choice, hands down. Removing the consideration of price, however, and that 507 is just too hard to turn down.

A 2001 BMW 740i Sport in Imola Red would serve me quite nicely, thank you.

Midnight Purple II is nice, too.

It technically isn't his car. It's the player's car that Razor gets after he sabotages the car and wins the pink slip race against you. You get it back after you beat him and get to the top of the Blacklist.

Oh, it just seemed like you were implying that it was his car. Oh well. On another note, my favorite thing about that car is the way it sounds in the game.

This one is actually my third choice (behind the 507 and E9) but since those are already getting plenty of representation on here, I will post this guy to spice things up a bit. Jeff Koons M3 GT2 Art Car. I think this thing is absolutely stunning.

Just a good ol' E30 325is for me.

I beat the game using only the Fiat Punto on my second time through. The bus stop was where the most entertaining chases were held.

I'm sorry to say this, but i have driven a 750d, and driven it in anger, and i got to say, though the car is mighty fast, and extremely frugal compared to its bulk and power, but... if you ask me it's only a tad more jalop, than a Prius. Yeah, the 5er Touring is lighter and a wagon, i give you that, but this machine is all about raw speed from the least ammount of fuel possible, with the most luxury possible, and not much more really. There is no real fun to drive, there's no real connection to the road, it's no more sporty than anything Merc or Audi would offer. And the fact so many american Jalops are infatuated with it is a prime example of your misguided love affair with anything diesel. Meh.
My choice? The daddy of the lithe, nimble sports sedan.

I was going to say this exact E30 M3, fully restored, with an S38 swap. It's gorgeous (if you have a minute): http://www.euroclassicmotors.com/galleries/E30M…
But this is my first time playing, so I re-read the rule about "for the rest of my life" and chose this (1M, in black):

There's nothing to answer... you already took the best option. :(
Edit : Unless I could go with the Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo (and only if it had an AWD option).

As temping as it would be to go with something classic, E30 M3, E30 Touring, 2002tii I think realistically I would want something modern. My first thought was E46 M3 because I think the E46 is the last good looking 3series but then I remembered these babies, god how I want one.
While certainly not the most practical car in the world it's far from the worse being a hatchback. And damn dat shooting brake *drools*

I can't even begin to count the number of times I cut through that bus station, either as a shortcut or an escape route.

Get into chase. Go up onto that platform that extends out into the parking lot. Sit. Watch out for the occasional cop that figures it out. Push him off. Wait some more.

BMW Gran Coupé.

Already have it. Sure she isn't the nicest looking thing ever, or in good condition, or even has the best options (carb'd, auto) but she's mine and I love her. She's my baby. (Car in question is a '73 2002)
![]() 09/09/2013 at 15:14 |

No. Stock look is the best look. There are a couple of 3.0 CS's in town (and I've seen a couple of CSL's out of town), and I LOVE the look of them when untouched.

I'd rather the E9 is it's purest form. Just because, well, pure bavarian sex. Hmmm... that sounds really weird.
![]() 09/09/2013 at 15:15 |

Damn, I knew the day would come when you made me decide to choose from my favorite make. Of all the ones I want, I think I've wanted an 8-series the most. I might as well go with the 850csi if its going to be my only car ever

BMW Bavaria. One of the greatest looking BMWs, and also one of the few that doesn't have a direct rival from Alfa (which I'd usually lean towards out of pure brand loyalty).

I've tried that multiple times and every time within 30 seconds of me getting there, a cop got smart and found me.

B7 Alpina. I'm not sure though if this question is generally aimed for cars made strictly by this brand's manufacturer. Technically, Alpina is a separate car company who's products are intimately tied to BMW.

While I'd really like to say E26 M1, I'm going with E82 1M. An everyday car that also can be made track-ready fairly easily. (mods are paid for, yes?)

Yall better pick the e30. It's the best car bmw ever made. Anything after that became bloated POS like the e36.

Like I've said many times before:
335i E90 M sport
Alpine white
Coral Red Leather
Manual
BMW Performance Exhaust
ZCP wheels
BMW Carbon spoiler
Dinan LSD
Harman Kardon Sound
BMW Performance Power kit

Hmm......
M135i, M3 CSL, E60 M5 Touring, Z4M Coupé, 1-Series M Coupé, so many to choose from...
A late model clownshoe with the S54 engine would be a good all-rounder, but only for two people...
Seeing as it's for the rest of my life, I'll probably need back seats. M135i it is, then!

What an awesome choice. I totally forgot about it. I'm surprised no one else said it.

Its discretion is a virtue in my eyes. It has the same M-Sport package you can apply to a 116d, but has a 3.0 I6TT! Possibly the coolest hot hatch of the century so far.

I'd have a BMW 325ix (E30), I prefer this trim but wouldn't mind other body styles.
